This year I was determined to have a creepy cute pastel pink Halloween tree. I realize that bubblegum pink may not be the first color that comes to mind when you think Halloween like say pumpkin orange, but I’m here to prove to you it works. I love adding colors beyond orange and black into my Halloween decorating and have been doing it for years so I was up for the challenge.

I’ve decorated LOT’s of colorful Halloween trees in my day, but admittedly never pastel pink. Nothing against black and orange but I like my Halloween a bit more colorful.

I often say that Halloween is my favorite holiday to collect for because vintage goodies are harder to find than say Christmas. I thought I would make things EXTRA hard on myself this year and see if I could do an entire room in a spooky cute soft hue. One pink Christmas tree, pink garland and a pink wreath later here we are.
How to Decorate Your Pink Halloween Tree
The key to making your pink tree work for Halloween is the decorations. Sure there are obvious touches in this tree like pumpkins and skulls but look closer. Sometimes things that were never intended to be a Halloween decoration can become one in the right setting – enter my collection of vintage cameras. I feel like all the cameras popping up from the branches not only tie the black and white look together it also gives the whole thing a voyeur vibe.

What Colors Go With a Pink Halloween Tree?
So the obvious color combination to go with a pink Halloween tree was black and white. Bats and skeletons were easy obvious choices and easy to find. Take a color walk around your house or the thrift store and look for other black and white items that might work. In my house I found globes, picture frames, art and an owl shaped umbrella holder.

Keeping Up the Pink Halloween Theme
Once I started looking around my house I realized I had a few other pink items that could tie the whole thing together. That vintage toy washing machine on the etagere worked perfectly as a tree holder.
Tie the Whole Thing Together with a Pink Halloween Wreath and Garland
You could stop with just a pink Halloween tree, but why would you. I used a matching pink garland that I decorated with spider webs and antlers. The pink wreath was kept simple with some black skeleton hands. Plus lot’s of other black and white goodies styled into the vignette.
