I love playing with pottery, paper-mache, air dry clay, sculpture and more. 3D arts and crafts have long intrigued my crafty mind. I’m sure you are familiar with the trendy marbled ring dishes with gold edges that have saturated Pinterest for months now. I love those clay cuties too. I decided to try and marbling with home-made paper-mache. The results were super cute and the process surprisingly easy. This post was originally sponsored content for I Love to Create blog.

Supplies
– Aleene’s School Tacky Glue
– Toilet paper
– 1 Cup flour
– 1.5 Cups water
– Craft paint
– 1 tsp Salt
– Plastic wrap
– Small bowls
– Tulip Fashion Glitter Gold
– Scissors
– Mixing bowl
– Spoon

Step 1
In a large bowl mix together your salt, water, flour and glue (1/2 cup glue).

Step 2
Shred about 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper.

Step 3
Add shredded paper to bowl and mix well. If the clay feels too wet add more paper if it is too dry add more equal parts water and glue.

Step 4
Divide your clay into 4 equal sections. Add a dab of craft paint to each ball and kneed into desired color.

Step 5
Roll your paper clay into snakes.

Step 6
Twist all 4 snakes together into one big snake. Divide into 3 sections and roll into ball.

Step 7
Cover three small bowls in plastic wrap. These will act as your molds.

Step 8
Smooth your 3 marbled balls of clay over your wrapped bowls. Set outside in the sun and allow to dry completely.

Step 9
When your bowl is completely dry (may take 24 hours) trim the edges with scissors. After you have done this rim the edges in glue and sprinkle on gold glitter. Blow off excess glitter and allow glue to dry.

Perfect for rings and other small trinkets. Sure clay is great, but toilet paper sure is fun twist. This is also a great project to do with the kids.
