Raise your hand if you miss your friends, happy hours, playdates – all the things. These days virtual hang outs are about as good as it gets and sometimes with my girls that’s golden.
Please note this post is sponsored by Prime Party but all opinions are my own. I was compensated for this post and given free supplies, but if mama can pay the bills AND host a party it’s a win win!

Thank You For Being a Friend
Remember when I threw a Bob Ross Themed Painting Party for my daughter? I was kinda jealous and mommy wanted her own party. Lucky for me Prime Party had reached out to me about hosting another virtual shindig with their awesome kits and clearly Golden Girls was perfect for a Zoom happy hour.

Prime Party Golden Girls Virtual Happy Hour
Prime Party has themed kits for several styles of parties for kids and adults – Max and Ruby for the littles and Beverly Hills 90210 for mom and her high school friends. The awesome thing about hosting a virtual paint party is that you don’t have to live in the same town or even the same country. I keep thinking about how great these would be for virtual Friendsgiving!

Party in a Box
The Golden Girls party in a box comes with everything you need to host a party for 8 – plates, napkins, cups, table cloths, treat boxes and more. PLUS there are awesome add ons like Golden Girls Bingo, Photo Booth Supplies and Golden Girls Bingo. You can ask friends to order their own kits or you can do what I did and porch drop all the supplies. Contactless party delivery at it’s best!

Deliver or Ship Golden Girls Kits
We dropped off each treat bags filled with one of everything plus supplies to play virtual Golden Girls bingo. Zoom is THE party destination of 2020, so clearly we picked an evening that worked and counted down the minutes until we got to hang out! I loved seeing all my friends with their loot throughout the happy hour.
P.S. Please take note of my friend Carin’s Zoom background. Look familiar?

Decorating For a Virtual Party
Here at home I’m never going to let a holiday or themed party pass by without going all out on the decorations. Pink garlands, pearl necklaces and pussycat statues all came out!

Photo Props
The Golden Girls Photo Booth Props do not come with the standard party kits, but I mean come on clearly they are necessary. I stuck some in the goodie boxes I delivered and kept several for myself. They were fun to play with and decorate with.

Golden Girls Trivia and Quotes
I loved reading all the hilarious quotes and quips from the girls on the napkins, plates and treat bags. Golden Girls Bingo could easily be accompanied by a round of Golden Girls trivia. What was the name of the nursing home they threatened to move Sophia to?

You Gotta Have Cheesecake
Can you really have a Golden Girls party without cheesecake? I couldn’t deliver a slice to each of my friends but my family sure enjoyed my dedication to a theme! You could send cheesecake making kits to friends – crust and box mix, they just add milk!

LOVE the Illustrations
The illustrations of the Golden Girls on the napkins are what drew me to this kit in the first place. There is a mix of photographs and illustrations in the kit supplies, but I gotta say those pastel illustrations got my crafty juices and the decoupage flowing.

Pin the Glasses on Sophia
The minute I am allowed to have an in person party with my friends I am busting out this Pin the Glasses on Sophia Game because IT IS AWESOME. In the meantime I’ll just use the glasses to decorate my Golden Girls themed Christmas tree. Full post on this beauty soon, including a how-to for those ornaments!

If you are looking for a theme for your next virtual book club, monthly family group Zoom call or online Thanksgiving – might I suggest Golden Girls.
