Ride Like the Wind to I.C.E. Atlanta

If you live anywhere near Atlanta you need to get your booty over to Centennial Olympic Park this weekend for I.C.E. (Indie Craft Experience). I am so sad that I am not going to be there, it sounds like so much fun. I was going to attend but then I realized I already had concert tickets for this weekend (more on that in a minute). While you are at I.C.E. check out booths by awesome folks like Etsy, The Small Object, Heyday Fashions and oodles more. If you remember pick up a copy of the program there is an interview with yours truly!

In other craft fair news I noticed that Felt Club has listed who will be vending at their XL Summer event on July 15th at The Echo in Los Angeles. Naughty Secretary Club is a proud sponsor of the event. I can’t mention craft shows without mentioning Stitch…Vickie told me on the treadmill this morning that she blogged about her role as roving reporter for the Stitch Podcast we are working on for this year. Whoo-hoo.

Ok so the concert tickets. I am going to be out of blogging pocket for a few days because I will be at the beach and rocking out to the smooth jams of Christopher Cross. If you are a child of the 80’s you know who this ballad bad-ass is. The theme from the Arthur movies, “Ride Like the Wind”, “Sailing”, “Think of Laura” – the hits just don’t stop. My sister and I call these songs “Car Seat Songs” because we were usually strapped into the back seat of our parents car when they were popular. Christopher Cross and the beach, I mean really does life get better? So I leave you with live footage of Christopher Cross singing “Ride Like the Wind” with the equally amazing Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers. No Michael won’t be there this weekend, but that’s OK I already saw him play a few years ago with Hall and Oates!
