SUPPLIES
- Canvas Shoes
- Fabric Dye
- Small Paint Brush
- Bleach
- Container for Dying

Step 1
Mix the red dye according to package instructions. Coat the front half of the shoes only in dye. Allow to sit overnight.

Step 2
Allow the red side to dry and do the same thing to the heels of the shoe with navy blue dye. Allow to sit in dye bath for 6-8 hours. Rinse shoes in cold water and then wash in the washing machine.

Step 3
Using bleach and a small paint brush add stripes to the toes of the shoes and dots to the heals to reflect the United States flag. Allow to sit until stars and stripes begin to appear and then rinse, wash and wear.

Not just for kids, the shoes are equally awesome for adults. Perhaps you don’t live in the USA. Same concept, different flag! Can’t wait to see if you give these kicks a swirl.
