What should you put inside a dinosaur themed Easter basket like this one I made for DIY Network -well dinosaurs duh. Not just plastic dinosaurs but dino puzzles, dino coloring books and why not some dinosaur eggs. These are not the kind you buy at the store, these are the kind you make.

- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup dry coffee grounds
- 1 cup sand
- 3/4 cup salt
- 1/2 cup water
- Small plastic dinosaurs

Start by mixing all your dry ingredients together. Make sure your coffee grounds have been drying out for a few days. Add your water a little bit at a time. You want to make a clay. Form an oval and place your dinosaur inside. Add more of the mixture on top and smooth into egg shape.

Allow your eggs to dry several days. Flip them over half way through to make sure they are drying evenly. Kids love breaking these eggs open and finding dinosaurs inside. Come Easter you can put these in your dinosaur themed basket or hide them around the yard along with the other eggs. Check out DIY Network for more fun themed Easter baskets. Pictures by Jennifer M. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE DINOSAUR FUN….

How about excavating dinosaurs from a giant block of ice? My kids thought it was amazing.

Sure this dinosaur is for Christmas, but he is a great project for any holiday!

A different spin on the traditional, try frozen dinosaur eggs instead!
Hope you had a happy Easter! Shared. Thanks for sharing at the Inspiration Spotlight party.
I may have just gotten a teensy bit weepy. My son (now 13) LOVED dinosaurs when he was two. He would have loved these. Your little guy is adorable. Thanks for linking up at #SaucySaturdays.
I love your dinosaur eggs! Those are so stinkin’ cute! Thanks for sharing your awesome Dinosaur Easter basket ideas with us at Merry Monday this week.
This is the cutest Easter basket idea! My son would have loved this a few years ago. He is starting to grow out of toys and it makes me so sad. Thanks for joining the Family Joy Link Party.
