Another day, another set of fabulous bloggers on the Treetopia Design Council. I am loving seeing all of these amazing trees. As the official Treetopia Brand Ambassador I feel all warm and fuzzy inside getting to help showcase and select this rad group of talented people. I realize not everyone wires Christmas villages they have spray painted neon pink into their Christmas trees (though they should) so it is fun to see the range from traditional to kindred kitschy spirits.

I’m sharing pictures of my formal living room with you today. Looks really formal with all this color right? You can see my Some Like It Hot Tree, Winter White Potted Pine Tree and a wee glimpse of my new Yellow Tree. Today’s Treetopia blog hop takes us on a visit to Dallas to meet Cassie of Hi Sugarplum. I have had the pleasure of working with Cassie before when I was editor of Kids Crafts 1-2-3 Magazine. I knew Cassie did amazing crafts and now I know she decorates a mean tree.

Also in my living room you can find one of the many crafty menorahs I recently made for DIY Network. This sparkletastic number is one of my faves. Ok enough about me, let’s talk about our next stop on the Treetopia Design Council – Heather of Whipperberry. You might recall me talking about Heather in October when she joined in the Treetopia Halloween Fun. Time around she has converted her white tree into a gorgeous winter wonderland complete with skis and this seasons hottest trend plaid. Did you see my plaid trees by the way?

Across the room from my giant menorah lives my little village of trees atop the mid-century bar. Did I mention my love affair with this yellow tree? It is like a forbidden kind of love. The kind you never expected and the kind that feels wrong to admit. Ya that is me and this yellow tree. I love it so hard I wish I had 6 footer version. Speaking of kitsch let’s talk about one of my crafty soulmates in the blog world Jade from Jaderbomb. The boho red tree she decorated fits her and her perfectly – boisterous and beautiful. I have total red tree envy now. I love the spray painted pinecones and giant paper flowers. I feel inspired to add some color to the sewing pattern paper flowers that adorned my sewing and fall themed trees. Jade always manages to get my creative wheels turning.

Be sure to stop by the Treetopia blog all week long to check out more amazing trees from the 2015 Design Council. Also, be sure to check out more of my trees on the DIY Network.
***I was compensated and given free trees from Treetopia for this post. I am after all their brand ambassador. However, all opinions are my own and I loved a good kitschy Christmas tree long before I was paid to.***
Please tell me where the fabric is from on your chairs? Or did you buy them like that! I’m in love with your living room!
Hi Meg is by Waverly I got it at Joanns. The chairs were my parents in the 70′.
